Recent Favorite Reads

I fully admit I don't have as much time to read now that writing and other creative endeavors are taking up a large chunk of my time. Where I used to read about ten books a month, now I'm averaging 2-3. So, still more than your "average" reader. I wish I had time to write, have a life and still read ten to twelve books a month! I envy those who can make it work.

Here are some of my recent favorites.

All Broke Down-Cora Carmack

I love Cora's Rusk University series. They're funny, sexy and she gets all the football details right. Not that I claim to be an expert in any way shape or form, but it takes me out of the story when there are obvious inaccuracies in sports romance! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series when it comes out next month.

Time Served-Julianna Keyes

O-M-G, this book is steamy! It features two lovers reunited, but there's a lot of resentment on his end, and hesitation on hers. It is super sexy, funny at times and a delicious read. I didn't want it to end!

Burned-Karen Marie Moning

I am such a KMM fangirl. I've tried to get into other series that have been touted as ones that fans of hers would enjoy, but they always pale in comparison. I just finished a Fever series read-through and even though I own the rest of the Fever series in paperback, I couldn't wait. I had to have Burned now. It's probably my favorite in the series so far.

A Darker Shade of Magic-V.E. Schwab

What a treat this book was! The beautiful prose. The imaginative world building, and of course characters that I was desperate to follow along, to see where it all ended up. I zoomed through the last hundred and fifty pages in about an hour and a half, it was that good!
