May Favorites

Hard to believe another month has flown by! May was a MUCH better month than April, thankfully. Here's what I loved in May.

If you love sweet, tart teas, then you've got to get yourself some Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait from David's Tea. This tea is great warm, or even better over ice!

As for my make-up and fragrance favorites for the month, let's start with fragrance. The Body Shop's Satsuma Body Mist is an old favorite. I've loved the Satsuma scent since I was a teenager. Taylor by Taylor Swift is such a fresh fragrance for spring. Watt's Up by Benefit is my favorite highlighter. I tend to look like I've stuck my face in powder with most highlighters. This one is easy to control and buff out. Lastly is the Forever Nude palette by BH Cosmetics. This is such a great palette, especially for the price. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and the blush and lip gloss are great too.

Books:

My two favorite books this month were both YA, which is a change for me! Half Bad by Sally Green sucked me in from the first page. It's an epic tale of good and bad witches. And Nathan, the boy is half of each.  The Distance Between Us by Kasie West is a fun, contemporary YA. A tale of a rich boy and "poor" girl. Meant to only read one page but ended up reading a hundred in one sitting.

I got my Blender Bottle at Bed Bath & Beyond at the start of the month. I admit half my problem with having healthy smoothies is dragging out the blender. I'm epically lazy in the mornings. I even bought one of those mini blenders just for smoothies, and well, I don't use it much. The Blender Bottle is perfect for just a protein shake. I love to use it with Vega Protein Smoothie Powder. I'm never going to love protein shakes, but this powder is pretty good, and it's dairy, soy and gluten free.

TV:

The husband and I have been binge-watching Bob's Burgers. It is an absolutely hilarious, quotable show.

Hope you had a good month!
