I used to make a ton of goals for myself. I no longer do this, because you're only setting up yourself to fail. Now I keep it simple.
This one is actually simple, since I did most of the work in 2013. I just need to muster the courage to hit send. And I will. I may cry a little during the process, but I believe in my book, and I've done the work to make it something agents, and editors will hopefully be interested in.
I have grand plans to get my house organized, but I want that to extend to my writing. I want to be better organized before I start a writing project, so I don't end up puttering out half-way through when I can't work out which way the story is supposed to go.
Keep running (maybe even my first 5k?) eating healthy (for the most part, I'm only human) and keep losing weight.
Whenever a "big" year is about to happen, I usually get a niggling feeling at the back of my brain. I have a feeling 2014 will be one of those years, not just in my professional life, but personal as well. I will reach my fifth wedding anniversary, and my husband and I will reach some personal goals. I just need to stay focused and keep my eyes on the big picture.
I think it's gonna be a good year!
